Former PCC President and ex-minister Botsa Satyanarayana was suspended from the Congress party due to 'anti-party activities'.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Dr N Raghuveera Reddy informed that Botsa has been suspended from the party with immediate effect. He alleged that Botsa was sabotaging the party from inside by weaking the cadre. He said that the Congress party would not tolerate any indiscipline and if some leaders want to leave the party, they were free to do so. However, the Congress will not allow any leader to indulge in anti-party activities.
It may be mentioned that Botsa has already confirmed that he was joining the YSR Congress Party on June 9.
Raghuveera Reddy also informed that Yadla Adiraju has been appointed as the president of Vizianagaram District Congress Committee with immediate effect.
