Finance Minister Eatala Rajender on Friday stated that the State Government officials were pursing with the Government of India to get the due amounts released.
Replying to a question raised by Congress MLA D K Aruna during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly, the minister informed that the Telangana Government had estimated Rs 14,443 crore in the BE 2014-15 under Centrally Assisted Schemes based on the budget books of Government of India and past receipts. However, he said that the total amount received from the Central Government as on February 26, 2015 is Rs 4124.68 crore. He said several departments have been making individual efforts to get the balance amount. Citing an instance, he claimed that the Panchayat Raj department got all its dues cleared from the Centre.
Speaking on the issue, Aruna demanded that an all-party delegation be taken to New Delhi to pursue the issue of pending dues.
