Jana Sena founder-president and actor Pawan Kalyan today asserted that he doesn’t want to embarrass the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, the “Powar Star” said, “I am not doing any nefarious politics and my intention was also not to embarrass anybody”. Stating that he was just trying to remind responsibilities of the government, Pawan Kalyan said elders have not implemented their promises. He said united State bifurcation was not done properly. If there was any administrative lapse, it will have impact on future generations, Pawan said, adding that he is wary about future generation. “I have informed the Prime Minister that injustice was done to the two Telugu States”, he said. In the name of development, villages should not be ruined. The ministers and MLAs have informed him that 10 per cent farmers are not inclined to part with their lands, he added.

The Jana Sena president said Undavalli, Penumaka and Betapudi farmers were not interested to give their lands while others voluntarily gave their lands for new capital city. The package for Undavalli people was not sufficient whereas Penumaka village has fertile land. There were a lot of problems for the two Telugu States. “I was happy to hear that new capital city would be built on par with Singapore city. However, it took 20 years to build and develop Singapore city and about 30 years are required to build A P capital”, Pawan added. Construction of new capital city at the cost of farmers cannot be justified, he said. He also reminded that during YSR regime, lands were acquired in the name VANPIK for doing real estate business.

Alleging that the BJP failed to keep its word on granting special status to AP, Pawan asked “Why a promise was given in Parliament and how can people believe BJP if the promise was not fulfilled in Andhra Pradesh?”, he asked and demanded the MPs to pressure the Union government for special status to the AP. Allaying fears of his criticism, Pawan Kalyan said he can only express concern on the issue.

On the GHMC elections, Pawan Kalyan said he has not taken any decision in this regard. There is the possibility of contesting elections if by-elections are announced.
