Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Thursday demanded a high-level probe into the controversy over Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office here, Kishan Reddy said that the Metro Rail issue was not restricted to the State Government or L&T. He said the project is connected with the people of Telangana and they have a right to know the ongoing differences between the L&T and the State Government. He said any further delays due to the ongoing controversy would cause inconvenience to the people of Hyderabad who have been facing traffic woes for the last several months due to the ongoing Metro Rail works.
He ridiculed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's claim of turning Telangana into Singapore and said the TRS Government was causing damage to the existing infrastructure in the State's capital.
Meanwhile, BJP floor leader Dr L Lakshman demanded White Paper on the communications that took place between the L&T management and the TRS Government. He also demanded that the government convene the Assembly session immediately to discuss the issue. He said KCR's actions were badly hurting the image of Brand Hyderabad.
