Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Saturday assured that the BJP-led Government at the Centre was keen on the development of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons here, Kishan Reddy said that the Telangana BJP delegation made representations with 14 Union Ministries and all of them have assured to provide funds and assistance for the State's development. He said Union Surface Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured to provide funds for three National Highways. The Centre will sanction Rs 244 crore for NH22, Rs 177 crore for NH 365 in Warangal and Rs 360 crore for Hyderabad-Srisailam national highway.
Similarly, the Centre was willing to restart the FCI godown in Ramagundem. The Centre is also considering inland water transport system connecting Godavari River to sea. He said that the BJP delegation has sought unallocated power of 1,000 MW for Telangana and a gas-based power plant for the State.
Kishan Reddy said that although the Centre was serious on development of Telangana, the TRS Government looks non-serious in seeking Centre's help. He said that the BJP was willing was act as a bridge between the State and Central Government.
