BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday appealed to the voters of Seemandhra to vote in favour of TDP-BJP combine to get a stable government in the residuary State.
"It is TDP-BJP combine led by Chandrababu Naidu which can provide a stable and strong government and meet the aspirations of the people. Select and elect credible combination," Venkaiah Naidu said in his appeal. He said that the country and the state were passing through a very bad patch. "The main issue in this election is development, speedy development and all-round development coupled with good governance," he said.
"At the national level, the Congress is out, there will be total rout and there is no doubt about it. The Third Front is a mirage and a tried and failed experiment, he said.
Coming to the State, he said,"We are a new state with multiple problems and challenges. Because of the hard work of the BJP, we were able to extract certain assurances from the Centre to the state during the debate in Rajya Sabha on bifurcation bill. Those are all very important assurances. But they are mere assurances at this point of time and need to be implemented in letter and spirit. Only then can the state prosper and will our future be safe," he said.
He said continuous support from the Centre would be needed for speedy development and faster growth of the residual state of Andhra Pradesh. He said an effective government at the State was needed for continuous monitoring and implementation of the assurances. "People should vote for ability and credibility. The obvious choice is Narendra Modi and the NDA," he said.
