Harish Rao also alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu were very close friends although both act as rivals among people. Citing an instance, he said that at Naidu's instance, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 7,300 crore works for Chittoor district including Rs 2.84 crore for Naidu's Kuppam constituency. Contrary to this gesture, he said that the Chief Minister did not act on representations made by the TRS seeking Rs 1500 crore funds for developmental projects in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts. He alleged that both Kiran Kumar and Naidu were protecting each other politically.

The TRS MLA asked the leaders of both the TDP and Congress to realise the friendship between Kiran Kumar and Naidu and prevent themselves from falling prey to their politics.
