Ponguleti slams KCR for not thanking Sonia

AICC Secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy condemned Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for not thanking Congress president Sonia Gandhi during the Sakala Janula Bheri held at Nizam College Grounds on Sunday.

Talking to reporters here, Ponguleti said that it was Sonia Gandhi who turned the dream of Telangana State into a reality. He said that the Congress party took the maximum risk by deciding in favour of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to carve Telangana. He said the historic decision to form Telangana was taken to fulfill the aspirations of people in Telangana region.

However, Ponguleti said that KCR did not thank Sonia Gandhi in the public meeting. Instead, he took the names of BJP leaders Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj. Stating that KCR had no control over his words and actions, he said that KCR was trying to take the entire credit for Telangana formation while ignoring the sacrifices made by other youth, NGOs and political parties, especially the Congress party.
