The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned to Wednesday by Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy amid walkout by the Left party members and trading of charges between the Opposition and ruling party members. When the budget session of the Assembly began on Tuesday, the Left parties pressed for adjournment motion to discuss rising prices of essential commodities.
 
However, Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy, disallowed the motion on the ground that the subject was listed for regular business on August 4.He made it clear that the budget session of Assembly would be affected if he allows discussion on these issues.
 
Then, protesting against the Speaker’s move, the Left party members walked out from the Assembly.Later, Finance Minister K Rosaiah’s comments on Gali Muddu Krishnamanaidu of TDP raised a controversy for some time.The Speaker adjourned the House amid trading of charges and counter-charges between Opposition and treasury benches.Talking to reporters, the Leader of the Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu, accused the Government of not showing respect to the Assembly and adopting a `stubborn attitude' by failing to reply to the issues raised by the Opposition.
