Botsa was non-committal on when the RTC employees from the Seemandhra region would end their strike. However, he said that the striking employees unions have proposed that the State Government take over RTC as it was done in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. He said that he would forward the proposal to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

The PCC chief described the hunger-fast undertaken by YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma as political stunt. He said while Vijayamma's fast came to an end, YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy is beginning a new "political drama". He said that the YSRCP was not sincere towards Samaikhyandhra.
