Hyderabad, Nov 12: Minister for health and medical services Mr.danam Nagender expressed confidence that Congress will win the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections scheduled for November 23.Interacting with the media on the eve of releasing the Congress manifesto for the ensuing GHMC elections the minister said, `` since the party has entrusted the GHMC elections affairs to me I take up the challenge. I own the responsibility either for the victory or defeat of the party.
‘’Working in unison with the local MLAs and ministers Danam categorized the GHMC limits and allocated it to the ministers urging them to strive for the victory of the party.Charting out his strategies, Danam is planning to rope in Jagamohan Reddy, and Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi to campaign for the Congress. He sounded this idea already in Delhi. According to close Congress circles Jagan is likely to campaign for Congress but it is doubtful whether Rahul will come over to Hyderabad for campaigning or not. Rahul is more bent up for the rural than urban.
Moily cancels his visit Meanwhile it is learnt that Congress General Secretary in-charge Andhra Pradesh, Veerapppa Moily will not be taking part in the campaign for the GHMC elections. According to the schedule, Moil is supposed to be visiting Hyderabad on Thursday to campaign for the Congress party. In view of his cancelled trip to Hyderabad, Moily wrote letters to the AP ministers and the PCC president D Srinivas urging them to strive hard for the victory of the party.This is the second time with in a fortnight that Moily has cancelled his vist to Hyderabad
