They criticized the Congress government for the hike in power charges and demanded that the hike should be immediately rolled back.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is holding a cabinet sub-committee meeting to discuss the percentage of roll back or to come out with an amicable solution on the power crisis as the State is under fire from the opposition and ruling party as well.

The Chief Minister had assured that there would be some relief. His cabinet colleagues C Ramachandriah, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana senior leader V Hanumantha Rao and union minister K Chiranjeevi had criticized the government for the hike in power charges.

The Left Parties have given a bandh call on April 9, which will be supported by all political parties. Ten Left Parties went on fast and the baton was taken over by TDP and it was passed on to BJP and now Ysrcp is on indefinite fast.

Meanwhile, a PIL was admitted in the High Court which has asked the basis on which the charges were increased.
