Hyderabad,Nov 6: Resenting the allotment of tickets to unworthy candidates ,frustrated aspirants in the Congress  party along with the support of some local Congress workers on Friday gathered in large numbers at the Congress Party office Gandhi Bhavan,raising slogans against PCC chief DSrinivas and  Minister  Danam Nagender.Displaying  their vent against the  Congress leaders they pelted stones on  Gandhi Bhavan ceating unruly scenes.The police  on receiving the information reached the place and brought the situation under control.The party workers protesting the allotment of tickets alleged that selection of candidates were done without taking the local leaders into confidence.They alleged that PCC president D Srinivas and Danam Nagender earned crores of rupees by selling party tickets for the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.Police rushed to the spot to control the law and order.In another incident that took place at Moosapet, the dissident Congress workers alleging that PCC chief and Danam Nagender sold party tickets, staged a dharna and burnt the effigies of leaders.


They staged a sit-in agitation on the road blocking the traffic for more than an hour. Tension gripped the area when the police came to vacate them.Even after giving money bags also the PCC chief did not give me ticket, alleged one Congress party ticket aspirant for GHMC elections in front of D Srinivas’s house.Tension prevailed at the PCC chief’s house, where MP S Satyanarayana and MLA Sudheer had a meeting with him over the allotment of tickets for GHMC elections.
