Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that the permission for Sadak Bandh (highway blockade) is not possible.
A delegation of TRS MLAs has met the Chief Minister today seeking permission and he has declined saying that it is not possible. “The permission cannot be given as it is against the verdict of Supreme Court and it tantamount to contempt of court,” he said.
TJAC has given a sadak bandh call tomorrow and appealed all political parties to join the highway blockade.
The traffic towards Bengaluru will be blocked at Mahbubnagar and TRS has chalked out a strategy involving all the MLAs and MLCs in the programme. BJP and CPI are also participating in the sadak bandh.
Meanwhile, Mahbubnagar police have made elaborate arrangements to foil the sadak bandh. Additional forces are deployed at strategic locations.
The SP has warned that criminal cases will be booked against those flouting the law and reiterated that there was no permission for the sadak bandh.
