The Lok Satta Party on Saturday asked the State Government to ensure that students facing annual examinations these days do not suffer from drastic power cuts.
In a media statement, Lok Satta Party General Secretary Katari Srinivasa Rao pointed out that the future of students turns bleak if their studies are disrupted by power cuts in nights on the eve of examinations. The State Government should exert pressure on the Union Government for allotment of additional gas and power supply from the central power grid.
Srinivasa Rao wanted the State Government to focus on additional power generation in the forthcoming budget and step up efforts to bring down transmission and distribution losses.
