  Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, on Saturday stated that he contested from Mahaboobnagar constituency to revamp the Telangana struggle in the district.

Visiting the constituency for the first time after100 days of declaring general election results, he appealed to people to apologise him for coming late to the constituency.

He enquired about peoples’ problems in the constituency and promised to solve them. He said that he would construct a house in Palamuru to redress the people’s problems.

He alleged that the dissenters in TRS are sidelining the Telangana statehood issue and public problems to divert the attention of people.

He said that injustice had been done to Telangana region in appointment of judges in courts and allotment of water.

He also gave a cheque for Rs 50,000 to a party worker in Kosgimandalam, who died recently. Bar association members felicitated him at the court complex.

In some places KCR received brickbats for coming late to the constituency.   

Earlier, a delegation led by Rashtriya Banjara Kranti Dal has urged Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar to direct Mahaboobnagar MP and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao to visit his constitutency and meet people.

The RBKD leaders explained to her that the TRS leader had not, after winning the election, visited his constituency. He did not even attend the District Review Committee (DRC), Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad meetings which play a key role in the overall development of the district.

Worse, he attended the first session of the Lok Sabha just for a few minutes. He said that he would construct a house in Palamuru to redress the people’s problems.

 

SHANKAR GOUD TENDERS RESIGNATION

In another significant development, TRS chief secretary Shankar Goud submitted his resignation to post and party primary membership here on Saturday. In this regard he sent his resignation letter to party office. Talking to media persons, Shankar said he would announce his future course of action soon.
