The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Friday predicted the fall of Congress Government in the State if it fails to announce formation of Telangana by January 28.
Talking to reporters here, Trs Deputy Floor leader T Harish Rao said that the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the State would be in trouble if the Centre fails to take a decision on the statehood issue by January 28, a deadline set by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde himself. He said that the government would collapse if five ministers resign from their posts.
However, Harish Rao condemned the behaviour of Telangana ministers towards the statehood issue. He said while the Seemandhra ministers have threatened to resign over Telangana issue, the ministers from the region have remained silent. He asked people to teach the betrayers of the region a fitting lesson. He also predicted that the Congress party would vanish from the region if it fails to form the Telangana State.
Stating that Telangana would be a reality by 2014, he said the Trs would win 100 Assembly and 15 Lok Sabha seats in the next elections.
