Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Thursday demanded that the Seemandhra leaders should also be sent for the all-party meeting on Telangana being held in New Delhi on December 28.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party here, Sailajanath said that the High Command needs also sent a pro-united Andhra Pradesh representative to represent the Congress in the all-party meeting. Stating that he was in favour of United Andhra, he said that the Seemandhra leaders should be given an opportunity to express their views.
Praising the Chief Minister, Sailajanath said that N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been doing well and he was cable of bringing back the party to power in 2014 elections. He also denied the existence of groupism within the Congress party and said that there were no differences between the Congress Government and party.
Speaking about Gujarat elections, he said the Congress party's votes have increased considerably by about 10 to 12 per cent. Therefore, the results could not described as plain defeat of the Congress party.
