Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh on Saturday dismissed media reports that the High Command would replace Chief Minister N Kuran Kumar Reddy in the State.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Venkatesh stated that the High Command gave clear indications that Kiran Kumar Reddy would continue on the Chief Minister's post till 2014 elections. He suggested media to stop filing speculative and baseless stories. Further, he claimed that Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana would continue on the post.
Venkatesh expressed confidence that both the Chief Minister and the PCC would work jointly and make collective efforts to strengthen the party at the ground level. He said that the High Command would give a prominent post to Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi and utilise his services to revamp the party.
Stating that the government was making efforts to resolving the energy crisis, he said that the problem could be solved with the cooperation of rain God, Union Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy and TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
