Visakhapatnam,Oct 23: Actor-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi left for Visakhapatnam on Friday with a mission to raise  funds  for flood victims in Andhra Pradesh.Talking to media persons, Chiranjeevi said that he would hold road shows to raise funds for flood victims in Krishna, Guntur, Mahabubnagar, Kurnool, Khammam, Nalgonda and Prakasam districts where the floodwaters ravaged the houses and crops  making thousands of people homeless and causing immense damage to property, lives and crops.

He appealed to people to come forward and donate funds generously for flood victims. It is very crucial to provide food and other essential commodities to meet the needs of flood-hit victims.He said the need of the hour is to lend a helping hand and support the flood affected people by any means  to bail them out of this tragic crisis. “Your timely help and assistance will go a long way in meeting the needs of the flood victims.The party plans to raise Rs 50 lakh in the form of donations and contributions from Visakhapatnam by conducting road shows on Friday and Saturday, Chiranjeevi said.
