Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday convened a review meeting with Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana and six other in-charge ministers, who were appointed to look into by-elections in constituencies at his Camp Office over the party drubbing in the recent by-elections.

In the meeting the in-charge ministers opined that the party has failed in effectively tackling the campaign of YSR Congress party. The ministers stated that the government has to appoint a committee with ministers to popularize the government schemes and programmes and in taking them before the doorsteps of people.

The ministers also pointed out that the YSR Congress party benefitted in the by-elections by claiming the government schemes being implemented in the state were belonged to former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.  The ministers felt that the government should create awareness among people that all schemes and programmes launched by YSR belonged to the Congress government.

According to sources, the Chief Minister convened the review meeting as high command asked Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief to rectify mistakes and gear up party for 2014 general elections.
