Jagathi Publications Limited Vice president V Vijay Sai Reddy on Monday hoped that YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy would come out clean from all the charges levelled by the Central Bureau of Investigation against him.
Talking to media persons at the residence of former Tirupathi Urban Development Authority chairman Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in Tummalagunta in Chittoor district, Vijay Sai Reddy stated that the probing agency has framed baseless charges against Jagan and arrested him illegally at the time of by-elections. Stating that he was raised any objection for investigation, he accused the CBI of adopting double-standards during investigations. He also dismissed CBI's statement that Jagan was not cooperating with the agency during investigations.
Vijay Sai Reddy alleged that ruling Congress party and opposition Telugu Desam Party have conspired with each other to level baseless charges against Jaganmohan Reddy and were responsible for his arrest. “Both the Congress and the TDP intentionally complained to the CBI court against Jagan over amassing of properties without having any substantial evidence,” he said. However, he said that the CBI does not posses any evidence to prove its charges against Jagan in the disproportionate assets case.
