Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday alleged that YSR congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma was shedding 'crocodile's tears' over the arrest of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy by the CBI to get mileage in the ensuing by-elections.
Participating in an election campaign at Korlagunta and Sanjay Gandhi Colony in the Tirupati along with Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana, Naidu said that the CBI arrested Jagan as he committed serious economic offences and caused thousands of crores of losses to the State's exchequer. If the people were in favour of those, who are languishing jails, Naidu said that the State would face tough times in near future. He said people would have to regret if they show sympathy towards YSR Congress party leaders now.
Naidu also slammed the Congress party for increasing the petrol prices, power tariff and other essential commodities and making the lives of common man miserable. The TDP chief assured the people that he would lay separate pipeline from Telugu Ganga to supply drinking water on permanent basis for the residents of Tirupati.
Naidu also promised that he would develop Tirupati on the lines of State capital Hyderabad if the people voted TDP to power in 2014 elections.
