Communist Party of India State Secretary K Narayana on Tuesday dismissed the allegation of YSR Congress leaders that the ruling Congress and TDP hatched a conspiracy with CBI to arrest Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to media persons after participating in a bike rally launched to protest against steep increase in petrol prices by the oil marketing companies, Narayana stated that there was no truth in the allegation leveled by YSR Congress leaders and Jagan landed behind the bars due to his own mistakes.
Stating that the greed for power and money has landed Jagan Mohan Reddy into jail, he said that the law would take its course of action.
The Cpi leader demanded that the Centre and Union Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy take immediate measures to revoke the hike on petrol prices as it would heavily burden common man and make their lives miserable. He warned the government that the Cpi would intensify its agitation against petrol prices until the oil marketing companies reduce the prices.
