Naidu is not against Telangana, claims Errabelli

Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Friday stated that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was in favour of Telangana state. 

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, he said that Naidu has advised Seemandhra leaders during the State Committee meeting to avoid speaking against the Telangana State. “This clearly proves that he is not against Telangana State formation,” he pointed out. 

Stating that the party was already geared up to face by-elections in the 18 assembly segments anytime, he said that the party has already finalized the list of aspirants for by-elections. He said that Naidu would announce the aspirants' list once the Election Commission issues notification for the by-elections. 

Errabelli said that Naidu would launch campaign for by-elections from April 9 in Tirupathi, Srikakulam on April 13 and Visakhapatnam from April 14.  

The TDP leader said that the TDP has decided to intensify its agitation against power tariff hike across the State until the government revokes its orders. He also said that the TDP would meet President Prathibha Patil and Governor E S L Narasimhan over the irregularities in allotment of lands as CAG rapped the state government.
