Peddapalli MP G Vivek on Friday accused the State Government of sending wrong reports over the situation in Telangana region to the Centre during the general strike of employees.
Talking to media persons, Vivek alleged that the State Government had sent wrong reports over the situation in the region to the Centre to dilute the statehood agitation. Stating that the Telangana agitation reached crucial phase during the general strike period, he said that the time has come for the Centre to take decision on bifurcation of State.
Vivek also demanded that the government give top priority for locals in the recruitment of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar demanded that the government take steps to recover the land belonging to minorities which was grabbed some by vested elements. He suspected the involvement of a Lok Sabha MP from his party behind the encroachments on Wakf land in the city.
Prabhakar said that the Congress MPs from region would announce strategy for achieving Telangana after meeting at former Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao’s residence.
