Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday stated that the high command would take a final decision over the selection of nominees for Rajya Sabha seats.
Talking to media persons after holding discussions with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Botsa said that the final decision in selection of nominees for Rajya Sabha would be taken by the high command by Sunday. He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and he himself would not interfere in the selection of nominees with the high command.
The PCC chief said that he has briefed Sonia Gandhi about the latest political situation in the State. Following the advise of Sonia Gandhi, Botsa said that he would make efforts to strengthen the party along with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Responding to the Supreme Court issuing notices to Ministers over the issue of controversial GOs favouring Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the PCC chief said that the CBI has been enquiring about 24 GOs out of 26. He said that the entire cabinet would be collectively held responsible for the decisions taken by former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
He hailed Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for presenting the Budget benefiting the poor and common man.
