Former Trs Mp B Vinod Kumar on Saturday stated that both ruling Congress and Opposition Telugu Desam would lose their deposits in the ensuing by-elections for six constituencies to be held in the Telangana region on March 18.
Talking to media persons, Vinod Kumar said that although Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana, Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi and Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu have launched campaigns for the by-elections, the people of region would not believe their tactics and elect those candidates, who resigned for the cause of statehood.
Asking the people of region to be cautious with the 'traitors of Telangana', he said that voters have already decided on whom to vote and they would teach a fitting lesson to the Congress and TDP aspirants in the by-elections. He accused TDP chief Naidu and the Chief Minister of having a secret understanding for the by-elections for the survival of their parties in the region.
Stating Kiran Kumar Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu should be held responsible for obstructing the formation of separate State announced by the Centre, he asked Naidu to explain the reason behind his opposition to statehood for Telangana region. Before launching his election campaign, he demanded Naidu to make his stand clear on Telangana tangle.
Vinod also asked the Chief Minister to explain to Telangana people as to why he has issued the GO dropping construction of dam at Kantenapalli in Warangal district.
