Communist Party Of India (M) state secretary B V Raghavulu on Tuesday made it clear to Telugu Desam Party that his party would not extend support its candidates in the by-elections.
Talking to media persons after having a meeting with TDP seniors T Devender Goud and Varla Ramaiah, the left leader stoutly rejected Naidu’s appeal seeking left parties' support for the by-elections. He said that the party would contest in four constituencies out of seven and announce its support for left party candidates in the remaining segments.
However, the party was yet to take a final decision on some seats.
Meanwhile, CPI state secretary K Narayana stated that his party would announce its decision on whether or not to support the TDP on Wednesday.
