TRS to stall State Budget presentation

Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader Etela Rajender on Thursday stated that the TRS would not allow Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy to table the State Budget -2012-13 in the House on Friday.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, he said that the TRS would not allow Speaker Nadendla Manohar to run the House smoothly until the government introduces a resolution on Telangana state in the Assembly. “The TRS will not relent until the government moves a resolution on Telangana state in the assembly,” he said.

Etala also appealed to Minister for Minority Welfare Syed Mohammed Ahmadulla to appoint Urdu teachers in Karimnagar district as there was shortage of teachers in the Urdu medium schools. He also urged Minority Welfare Minister to take steps for regularizing the services of contract employees working in the Wakf Board since 25 years.

The TRS demanded that the Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh take up repair works to Firangi Nala in Ibrahimpatnam and provide irrigation water to 8,000 acres apart from meeting drinking water needs in the Rangareddy district.Until the governments address these issues, the TRS would stall the proceedings in the House, he warned.
