Naidu also demanded that the government should not reduce the 27 percent quota for BCs by providing 4.5 per cent reservation for the minorities. Instead, he said that the minorities should be given separate quota and funds for their empowerment and welfare.

The Tdp chief also demanded that the government allot adequate funds in the budget for empowerment of BCs. He took serious note on the inclusion communities in the BCs list without allocating sufficient funds for their welfare and increasing reservation quota.
