Ysr Congress Party president and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday slammed the State Government for registration of a case against him and other party workers for staging a dharna at Pulivendula Police Station on Sunday.
Talking to reporters at Gannavaram Airport, Jagan said that the case was registered basing on false charges of attacking the police station. He said in full public view, he staged a dharna before the Pulivendula PS to protest against the police torture of his party worker. However, the police, along with 68 others, have booked him for attacking the police station and damaging its furniture.
Jagan alleged that the government has been trying to foist false cases against him and his party workers in order to stop the increasing popularity of Ysr Congress Party. He said he would continue his struggle against the State Government's policies without any fear.
Jagan also announced that he would participate in dharna at the Kadapa district collectorate to protest against the power cuts for the agricultural sector.
