Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday claimed that it was the TDP that brought overall development in the Telangana, especially Hyderabad and its surroundings.
Speaking after hoisting national flag at the NTR Trust Bhavan on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day, Naidu claimed that the party founder N T Rama Rao laid the foundation for all round development of Telangana region by promoting education, women empowerment and providing loans and subsidies to farmers of the region.
Reeling out the contributions of NTR, Naidu said that the credit for eliminating the terror of Patels and Patwari’s in Telangana from the minds of on the rural poor and backward classes goes to the TDP party. He said the party has disbanded the Patel and Patwari system by introducing the mandal system of administration.
Naidu said that the TDP had during his nine years rule paid attention to the promotion of irrigation, education, health, agriculture, industry, minority welfare and women empowerment in the region.
“Whatever development you see today in Rangareddy, Medak and other neighboring Telagnana districts is only due to the vision and far sighted measures and programs taken up by TDP government”, he said. He called upon the party workers to strive to spread awareness of the party’s programmes for the deprived classes of all regions, more particularly in Telangana and garner their popular support for its agitation against the ‘corrupt’ Congress Government.
Naidu also took credit for infusing life into Singareni Collieries and making it a profitable business. TDP Parliamentary leader Nama Nageswara Rao and other senior leaders were present in the programme.
