Fix deadline for T announcement: Kodandaram

Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Friday differed with Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana’s statement that Centre would take a decision on the Telangana state within two months.

Talking to media persons, Kodandaram said that the Congress leaders have repeated the same statement several times. However, the Centre has failed to take any decision on Telangana state despite employees launching general strike four days ago. He demanded that the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana fix a time frame for formation of Telangana state.

Earlier, Kodandaram expressed solidarity with the teachers who were sitting on a dharna at Gun Park as a part of employees’ general strike.

Speaking at the same event, MLC BV Mohan Reddy expressed confidence that the Centre would announce decision on Telangana by October.  Meanwhile, the Telangana lecturers staged a half naked protest at Indira Park expressing solidarity to employees’ general strike.
