Suspended Telugu Desam Party MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy and other rebel TDP MLAs on Friday appealed the Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar to accept their resignations submitted for the cause of Telangana state.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Nagam said that the Speaker has assured to take a decision soon on their resignations. He expressed confidence that the Speaker would take favourable decision and accept their group resignations.
Nagam said that he would provide protection to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu if he was ready to talk with Telangana students on the lines of Andhra students on corruption. He asked why Naidu did not respond to the looting in the Telangana region by Seemandra leaders.
Another MLA Harishwar Reddy said that he would submit his resignation to party primary membership once the Speaker accepts his resignation to MLA post. They slammed the Telangana Congress leaders for not standing-by to their resignations.
Earlier, Nagam and Harishwar Reddy greeted the officials in Speaker’s chamber by giving red roses in a Gandhigiri style.
