Mr & Mrs Rajasekhar jump into TDP

Actor Dr Rajasekhar and his actress wife Jeevitha are likely to return to the Telugu Desam Party, after a brief tryst with the YSR Congress Party. According to highly placed sources, the actor couple have all but decided to bury the hatchet with the TDP leaders and will formally rejoin the party they had left to swim with the YSR Congress. The sources also say that they have already spoken to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on telephone on Sunday. They are reported to have worked out the modalities of rejoining during the telephonic interaction, sources say.

Mr Naidu is believed to have directed them to make the rejoining public on Tuesday. Earlier, the couple had launched a tirade against YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for sidelining them during party programmes.

Their main grouse against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy is that he has given importance to other leaders and political migrants like Roja, Lakshmi Parvathi and even Vasireddy Padma. These leaders are being invited to participate in the election campaign and address meetings, but the actor-couple were subtly ignored.

Sources say that repeated attempts by Ms Jeevitha to get the attention of Mr Jaganmohan Reddy through the telephone too failed as he did not give her any positive response. The actor couple were among the first to join Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s camp after quitting the Congress.
