Differences among the Telugu Desam Party leaders from Telangana came to the fore on Wednesday with party MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu stating that he is not willing to to work under the leadership of Telangana Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy.

Talking to media persons, Mr Narasimhulu stated that he would not participate in the Million March agitation under the leadership of Mr Janardhan Reddy and he would also not attend any meeting which would be chaired by the MLA. However, he would participate in the Million March, but under the leadership of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor Kodandaram.

Mr Narasimhulu categorically stated that he could not accept Mr Janardhan Reddy as the convenor of Telangana TDP Forum.

Meanwhile, Mr Janardhan Reddy stated that he was ready to quit as the convenor of the TDDPF if it is helpful in furthering the cause of Telangana.

Responding to Mr Narasimhulu’s statement that he would not work under him, Mr Janardhan Reddy stated that he was ready to work under anybody’s leaders for the sake of Telangana.

“I am not against anyone. I will continue to remain in the party and fight for the cause of Telangana state till it becomes a reality,” Mr Janardhan Reddy stated.

Earlier on March 7, Mr Narasimhulu had alleged that Mr Janardhan Reddy was taking unilateral decisions on the separate statehood issue without consulting Telangana leaders and portraying himself as a true champion of the separate statehood cause.

He had charged Mr Janardhan Reddy of misusing the Telangana agitation to build his political career and protect his self interests.
