The Telugu Desam Party on Monday made another bid to corner Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on his comments that he had saved former Kadapa leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy from being implicated in the Paritala Ravindra murder case.
A delegation of TDP leaders on Monday appealed to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to reopen the murder case.
The delegation met CBI Deputy Inspector General (DIG) VV Lakshminarayana at his Sultan Bazaar office and demanded that the agency question Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy over his recent disclosures on shielding Mr Jaganmohan Reddy in the Paritala Ravi murder case.
The delegation members also urged the CBI DIG to question Mr Jaganmohan Reddy again in connection with the case by summoning him to the CBI office. TDP general secretary Varla Ramaiah asked “How can the truth come out if Mr Jaganmohan Reddy is questioned at the Chief Minister’s Office.”
Incidentally, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was questioned for the murder when his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister.
Mr Ramaiah told media persons that the TDP delegations had handed over key evidence to the premier investigating agency. He said that the evidence will help the CBI to prove Mr Jaganmohan Reddy's links with Maddelachervu Suri, the prime accused in the Ravi murder case.
