Telugu Desam Party Member of Parliament Nama Nageshwar Rao on Saturday alleged that Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao has entered into a ‘secret pact’ with the Congress party and asked the TRS chief to reveal details about this ‘deal’ to the people of Telangana.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan after emerging out of a politburo meeting, Mr Nageshwar Rao alleged that KCR has entered into a secret pact with the ruling party and hence was making comments favouring the Congress.
The TDP MP also demanded that KCR reveal details about the money he has earned by raising the separate statehood issue. He added that KCR has changed his words after meeting Congress leaders in New Delhi and was now singing the Congress tune.
Mr Nageshwar Rao also warned the TRS chief that the TDP will not sit idle if KCR ‘betrays’ the people of Telangana by aligning with the Congress and diluting the separate Telangana statehood issue.
The TDP leader pointed out to the rumours floating in political circles that the Centre’s statement made regarding the Telangana issue on December 9, 2009 was scripted by KCR. He added that it is also rumoured that the Justice Srikrishna Committee report is also scripted by the TRS chief.
Mr Nageshwar Rao also warned KCR to refrain from making adverse comments against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu or the Telugu Desam Party.
