The Telangana Joint Action Committee Convener Prof Kodandaram on Friday changed his rigid stand on demanding the official cancellation of Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations in Telangana region.
Talking to media persons at Joint Action Committee office at Adarsh Nagar in the city, Prof Kodandaram said the TRS activists would not obstruct the State Formation Day celebration on November 1.
However, the TRS activists and students would not obstruct the celebrations but stage protests against these, he said.
In this connection, Prof Kodandaram released a letter to media stating the Telangana Ministers and MLAs can participate freely in the Formation Day celebrations and the TRS would not cause any obstructions.
In the letter, he asked JAC cadre and students to allow the celebrations without causing inconvenience to the people.
Prof Kodandaram revealed that the TRS took this decision to respect the sentiments and emotions of Seemandhra people. Reacting on Seemandhra lawyers boycotting Courts in Vijayawada, Guntur and Visakhapatnam demanding establishment of High Court Bench between Vijayawada and Guntur, Kodandaram said the TRS would extend full support to it.
