Taking a serious note of the security breach at Assembly Premises during the District Selection Committee-2008 teacher aspirants agitation on Saturday, Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday convened a review meeting with top police officials in his Chamber over the issue.
Talking to media persons after attending the security review meeting, Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao stated the security would be reinforced at Assembly Premises round-the-clock by personnel from the Special Task Force.
The security level would be maintained even if the House is not in Session. Passes would be issued to Assembly staff to be used even when the House is not in session, apart from visitor passes.
The DGP revealed that the security aspect would be studied in detail and a decision taken on how many personnel would be enough to ensure that no body or organization could breach the security net around the Assembly Premises.
He added that the police department would also install sophisticated instruments to check the illegal entry of visitors and vehicles.
Reacting on breach of security by teacher aspirants, Mr Aravinda Rao revealed the police would conduct enquiry into the issue and book the guilty.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner of Police AK Khan, Home Secretary and Intelligence IG.
