PM Modi shocking love for AP, hatred for TS in Union Budget

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget today and those who followed the budget got blown away by the allocation of the funds. The budget witnessed whopping allocations to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh.

It is known that PM Modi and the Union Government headed by BJP led NDA is surviving on the support of the MPs from Nitish Kumar's JD (U) and Chandra Babu Naidu's TDP. So major chunk of the allocations went to these two states though the government did not entertain their demand for special status.

Even opposition parties slammed the Union Budget for giving preference to these two states and ignoring the other states. People of two Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had mixed reactions. While people from AP are happy that after a long time, budget allocations witnessed whopping allocations to the projects, people of TS are peeved that the Union Government did not allocate even a single project or even a penny of allocations though they elected 8 MPs, BJP's highest in the history of Telangana assembly elections.

This shows, politics and political support and compulsions play major role in states getting allocations in the budget.
