Former Congress minister and senior Telangana leader Jeevan Reddy on Monday criticized the Seemandhra leaders ‘destabilising’ the administration by issuing harmful statements.
Speaking to media persons at the CLP, Mr Jeevan Reddy alleged that a malicious campaign against Chief Minister K Rosaiah has been launched by the Seemandhra in the form of statements which damage the image of the Congress party and the government.
Warning of serious consequences, if they did not stop this malicious campaign against the Chief Minister, the former minister urged the High Command to initiate action against the Seemandhra leaders.
He said the Seemandhra leaders have no moral right to criticize the Telangana Congress Leaders Forum for organizing martyrs meet to disburse financial assistance to next to kin of victims’ families who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana statehood.
Mr Jeevan Reddy stated that the Telangana Congress leaders have taken a bold and justifiable decision to disburse financial assistance to victims’ family members.
The decision has been hailed by leaders across the political divide and has also earned a good response among Telangana people, he said.
