Kakinada district police have dismissed social media reports claiming that actor Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan, was attacked during a campaign event in Tatiparthi village.

Reports circulated online alleging that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) workers attacked Sai Dharam Tej with beer bottles, causing injuries to a Jana Sena worker who was subsequently hospitalized.
Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA S.V.S.N. Varma accused the YSRCP of orchestrating the attack due to fear of defeat in the upcoming elections.
Police Clarification:
Kakinada DSP K. Hanumantha Rao clarified that Sai Dharam Tej was not involved in the incident.
According to the DSP, an unidentified object was thrown by a YSRCP worker, striking a bystander named Nalla Sridhar, who sustained a minor head injury. He was treated and discharged from the hospital the following day.
Police found no evidence of bottles or other objects at the scene.
Two YSRCP workers were taken into custody and issued notices under Section 41A of the CrPC.
Gollaprolu police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
