Congress shocking claims over Chiranjeevi. Gidugu Rudra Raju, the former Pradesh Congress Committee president and current Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha candidate, recently affirmed that the renowned actor and former Union minister, Chiranjeevi, remains a steadfast member of the Congress party. Raju expressed confidence that Chiranjeevi would actively participate in campaigning for the party in the upcoming days. His statements came as he inaugurated the Congress party office in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday.
When questioned by reporters about rumors regarding Chiranjeevi's purported donation of Rs 5 crore to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Raju clarified that while Chiranjeevi may extend support to Pawan Kalyan as a brother, he remains committed to the Congress cause and has not tendered his resignation from the party.
Raju further emphasized the Congress party's commitment to implementing the AP Reorganisation Act, ensuring the fulfillment of all clauses, including financial assistance to backward areas and the equitable division of properties. He also pledged to prioritize the waiver of farm loans once the Congress assumes power.
Commenting on BJP state president D. Purandeswari, Raju noted her political trajectory, highlighting her tenure as a cabinet minister during the UPA regime. He suggested that her affiliations have aligned with parties in power, contrasting with the Congress party's steadfast commitment to its principles and objectives.
