Ambati scoffs at misinformation campaign against YSR family

Suspended PCC secretary Ambati Rambabu on Friday scoffed at the alleged attempts by some persons to carry out a misinformation campaign against former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s family.

Talking to media persons, Mr Rambabu said that people would not believe whatever is written against the YSR family. He reminded that much was written against YSR before the last general election but the people chose to vote for him disregarding the misinformation spread by his detractors.

He added that this had resulted in the Congress returning to power with a thumping majority.

The recent spate of media reports pointing fingers at the wealth allegedly amassed by the former chief minister’s son YS Jaganmohan Reddy have put the MP’s supporters on the back foot.

The media reports, mostly originating from the statements by various politicians of all hues and all parties, have targeted Mr Jaganmohan Reddy even as he continues undeterred on the Odarpu Yatra, taken out to console the families of those who died in the aftermath of his father’s death.
