TDP to extend 'full' support to T-Lawyers : Nagam

Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday stated that the Telangana Forum would extend full support to the boycott of work by Telangana lawyers at High Court.

The lawyers are demanding 42 percent share in recruitment to various posts in the Judiciary for Telanganaites.

Talking to media persons at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, Mr Janardhana Reddy alleged that the government was displaying its bias against the people from Telangana region in every sphere of administration.

“In order to rectify ill-treatment, the government should implement 42 percent quota for lawyers in recruitments in Judiciary,” the TDP leader demanded.

He also demanded that the government declare September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day and celebrate it as an official event across the state.

Mr Janardhana Reddy also warned that the state may witness serious consequences if the Sri Krishna Commission report goes against the aspirations of Telangana people.
