CM reviews Brahmotsavam arrangements

Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam authorities to provide better facilities to devotees, who come for Brahmotsavam, which is set to begin on September 11.

The Chief Minister, who convened a review meeting with TTD Specified Authority officials over the security arrangements and providing facilities to devotees at the Secretariat, told the officials to ensure no pilgrim goes through undue hardships by providing better facilities to devotees.

TTD Executive Officer IYR Krishna Rao informed the Chief Minister that 3,000 police force have been deployed to maintain law and order in the temple town.

Personnel from Scouts and Guides and Srivari Sevaks would be deployed to guide the devotees at railway station and bus stands at Tirupati. The RTC has been requested to ply one bus every minute from Tirupati to Tirumala during the Brahmotsavams.

He said the officials had taken steps to facilitate large number of devotees to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara simultaneously.

“All services will be provided on first-come-first-served basis and efforts will be made to ensure that the event passed through peacefully and to the best satisfaction of the common devotees” he pointed out.

TTD Chairman J Satyanarayana informed the Chief Minister that the TTD Administrative Board would meet in October to take some vital decisions in connection with providing better facilities to the devotees.
