The Anantapur MP alleged that the Telangana MPs have been in touch with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders to weaken the Congress party in Telangana region.

In order to check the ulterior motives of Telangana MPs and Ministers, he said the Seemandhra MPs would convene a meeting on September 9 at Anantapur to discuss the issue.

The meeting would discuss the issue threadbare and then the MPs would lodge a complaint against their Telangana counterparts with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

They also expressed concern over the Telangana MPs indirectly extending support to Telangana bandh called by students on Sunday protesting the APPSC decision to conduct the Group-1 preliminary examination.
