KCR Underwent Surgery Confirms KTR

Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), was rushed to a private super speciality hospital at Hyderabad during the wee hours on Friday. KCR after following a fall and a fracture, needs to undergo a hip replacement surgery on Friday, his son and BRS leader KT Rama Rao said.

KCR resigned as chief minister of Telangana on December 3 following BRS defeat in the recent assembly election, has been staying at his farmhouse at Erravelli. During the early hours, he slipped and fell at his house whom immediately rushed to Yashoda Hospitals at Hyderabad. 

KTR gave an update about his condition through his social media account. “Sri KCR Garu needs to undergo a Hip Replacement Surgery today after he had a fall in his bathroom. Thanks to all those who have been sending messages for his speedy recovery,” writes KTR.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished for KCR's speedy recovery and said, "Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health."

Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy on being briefed about the condition of KCR directed the Health secretary to continue to monitor the treatment of the former Chief Minister closely and keep him updated.
